More Sunday

I didn't sell any more cards Saturday or Sunday. Except all three vendors bought some at the very end of today. Connie said, "This isn't a pity purchase either!" I replied, "That's okay if it is - I'm fine with that!"

So the fact remains that I can't quit the day job just yet, but that's okay. I made some money, had lots of fun, got a decent amount of needlepointing done today between customers - and Connie invited me to work with her again. MJ confirmed she's inviting me to participate in her home show in October. Connie has another home show in November - and she's considering holding a regular monthly sale, which she asked me to be in too.

It's all good.

Today, Connie offered to move her portfolio binder from the refreshment sideboard and I could display my cards there, to see if they received more attention. It didn't look this cluttered in real life - the mirror makes it look a little more so in this photograph.

Outdoor pictures as promised. Those are silk flower garlands (with lights) hanging in the "rafters" of the tent. The table holds Kathy's teapots with English daisies - they were very cute.

Kathy also sells old shoes as planters.

I took this picture because there were people on the sidewalk, but now I wish I'd waited and taken a picture of the full sidewalk and the other side because the whole look was really nice. But this gives you an idea. Kathy sells those little teacup planters and garden stake votives. They lined both sides of the sidewalk.

So now I really need to catch up on mail and bookwork office stuff. And laundry. I decided I better at least wash some whites so I don't have to go to work tomorrow commando.

The weekend was busy but good and different and fun.

Congratulations Stefani ... sounds like you made some connections with other local crafters, made some sales, and most of all ... put yourself out there anyway, even when you thought you weren't ready. And see -- you really WERE ready after all!

I agree with you about Cheryl's book. It's her most personal yet. I loved it. I saw her speak live when I attended my first coaching conference after I enrolled in Coach U in 2000 ... and she was amazing. She is as genuine and wonderful in real life as she is in her books. Enjoy!
