It's pretty much your standard crockpot pot roast but yesterday I made it with two cans of Cream of Onion Soup. Outstanding! It smelled so good when I got home from work.
When I told Steve I didn't even know Cream of Onion Soup existed, he called me a SoupSnob. "Just because it's not your brawny, bites that could choke a horse soup, you don't want to know anything about it." He's right. Until I met him, I never knew anyone who ate cream of whatever soup, as soup. I thought people only used it for recipes. Now Simon likes those soups too. (I'm surprised he still does since that's all he ate for days when he had all his wisdom teeth pulled.) Of course Steve doesn't eat vegetables (I know!) so his soup choices are limited. Me? I love a thick soup with lots of stuff in it. And if there are no beans in it, you better have a darn good reason for it. Like tomato soup or French Onion soup - okay, no beans. Because as I (too) frequently tell Simon, "I am at one with the bean. I'm all about the bean."

Jeez Louise! I corrected one typo and now the alignment is all wacky and the alignment button is useless! I'll check it later. Sorry it looks weird, though I'm sure it bothers me much more than it bothers anyone else. :-)
And I thot you meant to center every line. Some people love that, not me, I'm a definitely left margin and justify whenever you can person. Those must be the cards you mailed to my friend Joan, they are fabulous, she will love them - thanx!
I'm usually a block justify kind of girl, myself. :-)
You are like the Energizer Bunny lately, Stefani ... so much good stuff coming out of your studio these days, AND your kitchen. I have to get myself a crockpot (... maybe I'll see if anyone wants to get rid of one on FreeCycle). I had one that I never used, and then when I decided I wanted to use it, the glass lid fell when I was taking it out of the cabinet and smashed into a million pieces ... argh!
Beans are definitely cool ... I made a big pot of chili Saturday, with lots of beans. Yum!
I initially misread the name of the recipe as "crackpot" pot roast!
Stefani, you can have my beans (except when we're traveling together and then, no beans for you!). I will occasionally eat a spoonful of black beans and sometimes baked beans in summer but that's about it. Consider me bean-free.
Like your cards!
Good grief my eyes saw Crackpot pot roast at first. So once I shook out the cobwebs I never noticed any alignment problem. :-)
