Poinsettias in January

Does this resemble a poinsettia at all?
I guess the colors would put one in the mind of Christmas anyway.

I came up with the poinsettia pin last night when assembling Sticky Notes. I love the layeredness of this center so I started playing with a pin idea. I wanted thread on the pin, but now that I look at this center again, I think I like it better. Looks more like a chrysanthemum though. Oooh - imagine the color combinations possible! Could offer both. Always thinking and plotting . . .

I'm shipping another order to Artizanns this morning. I noticed I'm making the Sticky Notes much more contrasty this year. I originally started working monochromatically and slowly ventured into a few contrasty ones and noticed that people liked them. Sometimes, with this variegated thread I love to use, I sit down to make the notepad and wonder how in the heck am I going to make that work. Then I fiddle about and it really grows on me. I'll post some here tomorrow to show you what I mean. It's going to make one colorful display in stores and in my craft fair booth, for sure.
