Back to the Drawing Board

This is a border in one of my Erika Fortgens books. I thought it was going to be perfect but it's too damn tiny. Even for me - and that takes some doing. The lines don't even look like stitching, the stitches are so close together. It's next to impossible to make those daisies with a single strand of thread on paper - the thread doesn't lie nicely like it does on fabric.

But! It gave me some great ideas so I'm going to work it out with something I doodle myself.
