Bruce Jenner & Seafoam Circles
.
.
First, I want to apologize for making fun of Bruce Jenner in this entry. "Anonymous" alerted me to this fact, confirmed by Wikipedia:
In 2005 Jenner was sleeping in his New Hampshire cottage when he awoke engulfed in flames. After escaping with his dog, Jenner suffered third degree burns on 85% of his body. After three months in the hospital he recovered and received several reconstructive surgeries and was released April 12, 2005 from Valley Regional Hospital.

This will be embellished and framed, hopefully this weekend. This is a pattern from one of Erica Fortgens' books. Somehow I started doing the outer border a little differently over the years, but this is how she designed it and I like it a bit better - go figure! I know I've said my work is more contrasty this year but this remains one of my favorite threads and definitely a favorite monochromatic thread/paper combination.

I'm wondering if that Bruce Jenner fire story is really true. Wikipedia isn't the most reliable source and I cannot find any mention of it anywhere else. You'd think that it would have been a big story.
Sharon - I admit that I took the Wikipedia entry with a grain of salt, but didn't have time to research it further this morning. There's no mention of it on Bruce Jenner's site but it's mostly professional stuff. I shall report back my findings - or anyone else, feel free to post sources here.
Oh dear. In trying to track down confirmation of Bruce Jenner surviving a fire, I found this site.
One would think this event would be easier to find, if true. And like Sharon said, despite having a Middle Aged Brain, I think I'd remember this event, as big of a deal as Bruce was to a lot of us back in the day.
I don't think the fire rumor is accurate either. Either way, he should get a refund from the surgeon!
I don't believe the fire rumor about bruce jenner, there are photos of him here:

I also checked wikipedia and it appears that they changed his bio and it no longer contains the fire story.
