Awaiting Glue & Embossed Foil Tape
.
A box of Sticky Note & Greeting Card parts that I'll give to Jen today to assemble & glue for me. I'm starting another box for Pam for when she's home again next week. They glue the stitched circle to a scalloped circle to the Sticky Note cover or greeting card. Then I assemble the rest of the design elements and embellishments. Mom helps stitch the designs. I don't know what I'd do without them!
Aren't these beautiful? They are Altoid tins, covered with foil tape found at the hardware store (for furnace ducts I believe) and embossed with a dry ball point pen or stylus. The directions are here on CraftStylish, by Diane Gilleland, aka Sister Diane.
I first heard of Diane through an interview on a CraftSanity podcast. But I'd never really followed up to see her work or listen to her podcasts. I was about to say I'm off to iTunes to subscribe to her podcasts but I see I already have subscribed but haven't listened to them yet.
So many crafts, so little time.

Thanks for showing the link about the altoid tins. I have a bunch of them, and some of the foil tape in my craft room right now! Woo Hoo, something to do with my tins.
Dara, these old Altoid tins are gorgeous! Think of how well they would pack to send small jewelry items in for mailing! Or to carry as a pill case in your purse, hide your "mad money"....even for kids ot keep their money in for school, inside their backpack....hmmm, I gotta have some of these for Christmas---what a gift card holder!
It must be nice to have so much help! My boys are not interested in jewelry stuff that is for sure. Sometimes I can get my son to cut our tags or box stickers for me.
Those tins are wonderful! thanks for the link on the how too! I'm dying to try another 'simple' craft just to do something else. But no time...never any time!
Jamee - just to be clear - - Jen and Pam are my crafty friends. My son Simon shows zero interest in my business - same as yours!
