Simon moved his bed and major furniture home last night. Steve and I will carpool in my car today so he can use Steve's Explorer to bring the rest of his stuff over today.
Let's just say it's an adjustment for both of us. I know he's grateful, I know he has plans to turn his life around. I know it, I appreciate it, I get it.
"Mom, do you know how hard this is for me - to move home?"
"Simon. Do you think I was born at 52 years old? I totally understand."

GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!
(For each of you.)
For some reason, an old saying that I quote frequently comes to mind---whether it's good or bad, it won't last.
Ol Dad
Jill and Jeremy both moved out back in December -- they had both previously been off for a few months at a time individually but this time they both moved to the same address, a five bedroom house shared with three mutual friends. This seemed like a permanent departure (Jeremy is 23 and Jill is 26) and Nancy turned Jeremy's bedroom into her office (since she is a math teacher we have taken to calling it "The Math Room" -- and then a couple of weeks ago -- with in a day or two of each other -- they both complained about how expensive it was in their house, rent, heat, electric, etc.
Heh! Nancy and I both felt a sense of panic. No! You can visit all you want but please do not move back home!
Well, so far they are still surviving in their own place, no further comments about moving back. *whew!
