My Bazzill paper order arrived yesterday, right on schedule. Friends who have been through this with me before know the drill.
My Bazzill paper order arrived yesterday, right on schedule. Friends who have been through this with me before know the drill.Unpack paper, checking against original order.
Leaving pristine paper in cellophane wrapping, stack like colors together.
Gaze adoringly at paper for 3 days minimum.
When one has a nice chunk of time, guaranteed to be interruption-free, unwrap paper and store it by color group in studio racks. Depending on what's already in the racks, this might necessitate an entire overhaul of the paper racks. Oh no, not that.
Enjoy being in the moment, as one with the paper.
Try not to hyperventilate.
Walk back into the studio multiple times throughout the next few days for the sole purpose of staring at all the lovely paper.

Have fun with your pretty paper!
Oooooh, paaaaaaaper. I LOVE paper, card stock, pretty paper, you name it. Nice stack! And as bad as rearranging the storage might seem, you get to TOUCH all that paper, and then gaze on it again when you are done. Aaaaaah. I feel your joy.
So pretty! I totally get the love of the paper - I feel that way about fabric...oh and pens. :)
Enjoy!
Leslie, I was being sarcastic, you silly goose, when it seemed I was dreading rearranging the paper. :-)
Oh Stefani, you are so silly. All that about paper? Oh wait, I feel like that about yarn and have it in baskets of rainbow colors in my family room so I can look at it all the time. What's that saying, the apple doesn't fall far from the tree? Or was that a nut?
How many trees? ;-)
Darn you, Bonnie! :-)
You got into my head last time with that comment - so I was thinking about that very thing when I was unpacking my beautiful paper yesterday. I was trying to figure out a way to justify it when I'm such an avid recycler at home and work.
Wait - how's this? I DO recycle ALL the paper I can - but what about if I add a sign to my booth and/or products that says, "Recycle Responsibly"? Minimum, that will garner a lot of conversation from my customers, "Oh, I could never throw this away, ever - it's too beautiful!"
Truthfully, it doesn't bother me too much to use paper because I think/hope that it comes from trees that are grown as a crop, for the express purpose of paper products. I recycle every bit that I can and I buy high post-consumer recycled products. I'm just one cog in the wheel.
