Valentine's Day Cards

I made this several years ago. I use that word stamp a lot.
The rest of these I made in 2003.

That's handmade paper on the lower diagonal,
with a matching envelope and a sticker for closing the envelope.
That's a wooden heart in the center of the design.

The word stamp is stamped in Versamark, a watermark ink.

I was going for simple this year, so I fancied up some of the cards with
handmade envelopes, usually vellum, like these, so the card shows through.

I made this by stippling eggplant and rasberry ink in different combinations.
That's a paper heart in the center, layered with foam mounting tape for some dimension.

This was a total fluke that turned out pretty cool. I cut a small strip of
gold metallic paper with the paper cutter and started cutting more, wondering if I could weave them.
I was particularly happy with the way it turned out because the edges of the paper strips don't
show up as white as is the case with some papers. This actually looks like metal, rather than paper.

I've made many of these cards. I made this same card for Valentine's Day two years ago,
stamping on red paper, probably with black ink.
I liked that better I think.

This is probably my favorite card. It's very simple, Stefani-like.

These are 3 pins I made. The large one is a wooden heart with handmade paper decoupaged all over it.
The red heart was purchased as is, just glued a pinback on it. The bottom one is the same red wooden
heart with gold leaf applied to it. (This picture doesn't do it justice.)
I wore them all this week - and sold some of the red pins at work.
