Misc Cards

(*Made in class at Stamps to Di For, Linda Reese, Instructor.)

This is one my newer stamps. The paper was done with a ink-direct-to-paper technique, using daubers.

I made this for Mom for Mother's Day I believe. The cross stitch is done on black 14-count paper, and backed with pink paper so the stitching doesn't show inside.

The sections were done by masking off portions with Post-It tape.
The copper piece on the right was stamped in black and then outlined and stippled with a stylus. *

This lighthouse was stamped several times on different colors of paper,
then cut and reassembled, using foam tape on some of the pieces. *

This is just a little design I did inside a card, using punches. Stefani = Symmetrical.

This is a card that taught me you can stamp in suede and if you don't have ribbon to match a project, just run white ribbon over the ink pad you are using for the project and voila, matching ribbon! *

This is a mat that I inked using the direct-to-paper technique with daubers. I made this for my friend Nancy because she told me about this sentiment that her mom used to say to her when she was a little girl. I made it as a surprise for her - made her cry! (Yes, score! But then again, it's Nancy, how hard is that??)

This is a pretty simple card but I like it because the heart is stamped on "almost leather" or "veggie leather". It's sort of like "fun foam", I think, that kids use for crafts. It's heated with the heat tool, then stamped into immediately, and the material becomes dense from the heat and looks like leather. I now wish I'd fancied the card up a little bit more.

Copper and green is one of my favorite combinations.

This is one of my favorite quilt stamps. This is stamped polymer clay, on top of a paper mache box.

This a technique I learned at a Demo Day at Stamps to 'Di' For. I brayered glossy white paper, then cut it into random sized strips. I edged the strips with a silver metallic marker and taped them to the back of the cut out portion of the blue deckled square.

Here's another variation on that theme. That star in the lower left corner is shiny silver.

The happy birthday background was stamped in Versamark ink and

embossed with clear embossing powder.
