Monday, January 5, 2004 I finally updated the archive to include 2004. Thanks for the nudge, Jen.
Here are a couple more Christmas cards I wanted to show you. I finally walked all the way downstairs to use Steve's scanner.
This was hand stamped by the lovely and talented Kathy. You really ought to be reading her journal too, as Jeannie very kindly pointed out to me last year or so. She's freakin' hilarious. You just want to hang around with her. And go buy some of her beautiful jewelry.
This card is from the oft-mentioned Weetabix because A) I love to name drop and link, B) I think it's a great card (inside: Hathy Holidayth) and C) it's the only way I can remember to tell Mom that Wendy ended her message to me with, "Say hi to your mom for me!" What a gal, to remember that. Mom is the one who turned me on to Weet and last year I asked her to send a card to my mom too. Wendy made her cards last year and Mom was very surprised to get it. It was cool. If you already read either one you'll know that Kathy and Wendy met recently. I can only imagine what a freakin' riot that must have been - two of the funniest women I "know". End of Schmooze Fest.
Here's what I worked on last night.
This is a slight variation on the one I posted here and I really like this one better. All three shades of pink paper are textured which I think definitely kicks it up a notch.
I'm still playing around with this quilty stamp.
See what I mean? The possibilities are endless. Pam ordered a few of the above - and now I need to make lots for the store and then get the website page ready. Soon. I took Reggi for a walk right after I got home from work. It was snowing ever so slightly and 26 degrees so we didn't walk long but it still felt good to get out in the nice, crisp air. Note to self: remember your hat, doofus! I know I had something else to say but I sure can't think of it now. Guess it will have to wait. Oh, the suspense.
Reading: My new Paper Mart catalog. I'm this close to ordering gift bags and tissue and other cool things to sell on my card rack at Village Gifts. I need to shop around a little bit more and then just make the plunge. The good news is this is stuff that I can use up if it doesn't sell. But I think it will, no problem.
