I'm such a silly goose. After all my anxiety and hurry-ness yesterday to get my cards into Village Gifts...and actually driving there...it's closed on Sundays and Mondays for the winter. I knew that! But I was able to spend a more relaxed afternoon not only getting caught up on email, journal reading and paperwork, I made some new cards!

That's a real candle, which now looks ever so slightly crooked to me, though maybe I just scanned it crooked because the words look a little off too. Dang. That word stamp is one of my new ones and I like it very much. I made several of these, all in bright colors (red, yellow, orange) with contrasting candle colors.

I call this Purple Twinkle. This scan doesn't do it justice because those little dots in the middle of those starry things are little, teeny, tiny, multi-faceted "diamonds". And that's a matte finish brad in the center. This is definitely one of my new favorites. Oh, that's a new stamp too, first time I've used it. It's from my beloved Outlines Rubber Stamps. Love them!

Reading: Live Simply in the City, by Jonathan Allan & Lynne Cantwell, with forward by Vicki Robin. Jonathan has been a moderator and frequent poster on the Simple Living forums, which I've mentioned frequently as a wonderful source of information and inspiration. It's pretty cool to type the name of someone you "know" in the Amazon search box! (The same was true for fellow journalist Fred Anderson's From Chunk to Hunk book.)
