Stefani: How do you know it's a good dinner, Steve?

Steve: How?

Stefani: :::holds up camera:::

This is part of a giant 8 pound pork tenderloin Dad bought the other day and split with Gretchen and me. I split my portion horizontally and drizzled olive oil on it, then sprinkled it with chopped garlic, cracked pepper blend and rosemary. Mmmmm....good! It was enough for 3 dinners and we'll have sandwiches for lunch for a couple of days I bet.

Steve and Simon had the leftover hash browns I brought home from breakfast (which I fixed up better) and Simon and I had spaghetti squash and broccoli. Good din-din.

One of the errands I ran yesterday was to buy this 3-drawer storage unit (the white one on top). I've had the blue one for quite some time. They are for storing scraps of paper because you know that crafters/stampers never throw anything away. The arrangement used to be the top drawer was for ribbon scraps. The middle drawer was for "light & specialty scraps" and the bottom drawer was for "dark scraps".

That become unmanageable so I now use these 6 drawers to separate out the scraps further. So today I got to sit on the floor sorting through colorful scraps of paper. It made my little heart sing! (As did using my label maker, of course!)

The non-scrap ribbon is lined up neatly, of course! I haven't used this ribbon in a while but it still looks good enough to eat! (No, I don't  have food issues, thank you very much.)

I watched Oprah's 50th birthday party show today on tape. I sure do loves me some Tina Turner. I'll say it again - I want to be one of her back-up singers in my next life, I really do. I watched her first segment twice. Her second segment was Proud Mary, which reminded me that when I saw her here in Rochester many years ago, I remember thinking, "I can die a happy woman now that I've seen Tina Turner perform Proud Mary live." (I thought the same thing when I saw Eric Clapton perform Layla. And Bruce Springsteen at every single concert, but none more so than last year's concert.) My family can attest that we used to love watching Tina sing Proud Mary back in the Ike days, complete with dancing along. Yep, ol' Stef used to shimmy up a storm back in the day.

And her biography, I, Tina was great - I highly recommend it. (And look there are 110 used copies available, some for as low as 1 penny!)

Who knew Beyonce has such a good voice? I thought she was just Bootylicious candy stuff. Her Superbowl national anthem was impressive. Even more impressive was the fact that Steve knew who she was. Though he confessed it was kind of a wild guess that he almost didn't make for fear of being ridiculed. But he doesn't know who is performing at the half-time show. I think I read it was Janet Jackson so I guess I'll get to be surprised along with him.

Dinner: Pork Tenderloin, hash browns, spaghetti squash, broccoli, chocolate-peanut butter Skinny Cow.
