Happy Hour in Rochester.
CHICAGO (Reuters) - A Tennessee woman has filed a class action suit against Janet Jackson and others involved in her breast-baring Super Bowl halftime show, saying millions of people are owed monetary damages for exposure to lewd conduct, court records showed on Friday. I finally found something worth reading about Janet Jackson. If I can get some cold hard cash out of the deal, I guess I can listen to a bit more of this drivel. Not. Enough already.
Simon is at his dad's. Steve went to a high school basketball game with a friend. Do you hear that? It's the sound of silence cascading over me. Steve's not loud, but jeezo Simon is sometimes. He and his friends play their computer games while on the phone with each other, screaming at each other on the phone. Sometimes there is way too much testosterone in that room. I close his door. I close my studio door. I remind him to please use his indoor voice. So I'm spending my Stefani Evening poking around on the computer. I'm done with the financial part of the evening. Now on with the email and journal reading! I'm either going to do that until my head drops on my desk in exhaustion or I'm going to knock off early and read in bed for as long as I can. It's a good night in this neighborhood.
Dinner: Steve and I split a Turkey Bacon Melt and a Chicken Bacon Ranch, wraps from Subway. They are delicious and not too big. Very satisfying. Reading: Live Simply in the City, by Jonathan Allan & Lynne Cantwell. I set this book aside from time to time - to read a stamping magazine which I forgot to post about the other day. Today my held copy of Square Foot Gardening by Mel Bartholomew was ready at the library so I'll probably read that this weekend. It's about 3 months too early to garden but I can at least plan and get organized as to what I want to do this year. I've actually borrowed this book from the library before but now I want to study it. Or look at the pictures. Or something. Listening to in the car: ...And Never Let Her Go, by Ann Rule. I've said before how much I enjoy Ann Rule's books. The amount of detail is incredible. The poor girl is just days away from being murdered so I can't stop thinking about it. It's so amazing to hear all this, knowing it's real and that I followed the story in the newspaper at the time.
