Monday, February 9, 2004 Twenty-one years ago today Simon's dad and I got married. For some reason, every year I seem to feel the need to note the occasion. Well, duh, I guess that would be because that's how Simon came into my life, the very best thing that ever happened to me.
Best line at the Grammies last night: BB King said to Aerosmith: I've loved you guys since I was a kid.

Lex, 02-09-04 This is Pam's dog. I think she pulled the old switcheroo and sent me the "2 months after" picture of some other dog. Holy crap.
I generally try to spam the entire universe when emailing a newsletter from Pine Tree Designs, but just in case I missed you, I wrote about the 20% discount off anything with a heart on it at Village Gifts this week. That would include most of my Valentine's Day cards, of course. If you aren't local or don't want to trek out to Fairport, I'm offering free shipping on the Valentine's Cards and Pins only, Feb 8 - 13. I know how some of you like to live on the edge, waiting until the very last minute!
Dinner: Taco salad, Jell-O and a Slender Pie. I used to love the taco salads at Wendy's. Steve and Simon had never had one before. It was a great way to use up yesterday's chili and some stale tortilla chips. The whole thing, chock-full of vegetables was 4 Weight Watchers points, for those of you playing the home game. Reading: Live Simply in the City, by Jonathan Allan & Lynne Cantwell. Listening to in the car: ...And Never Let Her Go, by Ann Rule. I thought I was almost done with this book on tape. Instead of one more tape to go, I have 6! That's okay, the story is good. Today I looked up the real story on the internet. It was interesting reading what I've just listened to. I thought my memory told me the police could never prove Tom killed Ann Marie, though it was pretty common knowledge that he did it. I was wrong - not only was he convicted, the jury recommended the death penalty.
