Tuesday, March 30, 2004 Wow. Making a new page is really easy if you pay attention. This one came together as quickly as the other one should have. Lesson learned. Here's a sneak preview of the new jewelry page. I emailed the link to Robin Gardella, the Maine artist who makes the fish and turtle necklaces, to see if I came close on the color selection choices or if there are any changes she'd like to see. I hope to make finalizing these new pages plus spiffing up the older pages my Wednesday afternoon's work.
As if enough cool stuff doesn't keep happening to me, today I had a call from Allison of Blue Turtle Studio. She'll be shipping my order of cards in a couple of days - and she wanted to tell me how much she liked the cards I mailed to her. She had ordered a sunflower card from my website but I also threw in a B2004 I think it was, just because. She thought I used a die-cut machine to cut out those sunflowers. She said she used to cut her cards by hand too until her volume got to be too great. Oy, should I be so lucky as to have that problem! Anyway, she was very complimentary about both websites and the cards - and - she said we should talk some time in the future about putting some of my cards on her website! Woo-hoo! She has a section called "Other Artists". I would be in fine company - check some of them out sometime.
Yeah, life is good.

Dinner: Polenta, couscous, broccoli, ham & salad. Reading: Girl Clown, by the lovely and talented Mary Wise. Hey - did you know you can order Girl Clown now?? I'm about halfway through the one Mary sent me but I ordered my copy today. It won't be here for about two weeks so I may read something else in the meantime so I can read it in a real book format. I printed the entire file Mary emailed me and have been reading it in a cumbersome 3-ring binder. Update: I'm still reading the cumbersome 3-ring binder - I don't want to wait for the book. But it's cool because I very much want to own the book anyway. Anyway, congratulations Mary, on being published - I'm very proud of you!!
Listening to in the car: Fast Food Nation: The Dark Side of the All-American
Meal by Eric
Schlosser. People say once you read this book, you'll never want to eat fast
food again. People are right - and I don't even think I'm to the truly
icky part yet. Update: I'm to the icky part. Ewww, ewww and ewww.
