Tuesday, May 4, 2004 Just a very quick entry before I go to work - some of the new pages are up at Pine Tree Designs, including Mother's Day cards. There are 3 designs specifically for Mother's Day but any of the other blank cards would be nice too. I know it's really short notice but I can ship the next day upon receipt of order or they are available at Village Gifts, of course. (See left sidebar for address and hours. There's a lot of other cool stuff at Village Gifts too.) More pages to follow!
Later that same day.... Okay, now I can laugh about it. But something has been driving me batshit for 3 days. We all know how neat & organized I am. Sometimes my studio looks less than that though when I have a work (or 10) in progress. It has looked like a tornado blew through, for weeks now. This past Saturday I stopped in Village Gifts after our meeting to put Marcy's Mother's Day cards in the card rack. I knew I bought 3 different Mother's Day cards from Allison at Blue Turtle Studio, but damn, I could not find them to save my life. I looked in all the obvious places, not-so-obvious places, even looked at the store, thinking maybe I already put them out. Nope. I confided this in Jennifer today and promised to do two things tonight. Check my Blue Turtle Studio invoice and see if I had indeed ordered them (yes!) and check a box of jumbled cards that I took down a couple of weeks ago in order to make room for the GardenCards. Bingo! I found them tonight. I now remember taking them to the store, then deciding it was too early to put them out so I brought them home with that mess of cards jumbled in the box. This is probably a bigger deal for me than it is for most people because I, like 99% of the time, never misplace things. That's the number one bonus of being organized - you never buy duplicates, you know where everything is. Woe is me. I know, if that's my saddest tale, I'm doing pretty damn good. Having found the cards, tonight I made a new page of just the Mother's Day cards. Still time to order (if you don't live too far away!) I can ship day after receipt of the order. I will say, this latest website update went about as smoothly as I could have wished, once I found the time to just do it. I think I can get the rest of the pages up in a relatively short time. I received several orders today - and they are all packaged up, waiting to be dropped off at the post office in the morning. I love when things run smoothly.
We were going to move Reggi's crate down the basement but truthfully, Venus uses it a lot. So we'll leave it where it is - in the dining room where she enjoys the view through the sliding glass doors when she's not snoozing, that is. I love our sweet kitty.
