And Another Thing . . .

I still haven't managed to get a good picture of Verona, especially one where you can gauge her size for a 5 month old kitten. Which reminds me - we need to find out her birthday or give her one if Steve's sister-in-law's brother (got that??) doesn't know it. Anyway, this is one of her favorite sleeping spots. This is a big canning kettle I picked up off the side of the road last summer. I planted that spike and a couple of sweet potato vines in it - and brought it inside last fall. Verona has arranged the vines just right so she has this comfy-cozy napping area.

This was all well and good until last night she started digging in the dirt. It didn't seem like she was going to use it for a litter box, but more that she was trying to rearrange some of the roots.

Anything that causes me to vacuum ceases being cute. I've squirted her with the spray water bottle twice - and haven't seen her near there since.

She's so snuggly that this afternoon I went all Willa, trying to type on the computer with one hand so I could continue to pet the sweet kitty on my lap. I finally gave up trying to work and read some journals for a while.

Don't forget to check out the fabulous sale prices at Pine Tree Designs. I'm selling all Christmas and Hanukkah cards - and the 2005 calendars too at 35% off. And I'll throw in a few of the really nice sachets I have left too. They are wintery/Christmasy looking, smelling all cinnamony nice!
